1. Who MESOLANE Is
MESOLANE is an independently operated, unofficial community marketplace and reference website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Nexon or Discord.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the service, MESOLANE processes account identifiers, public profile details, marketplace content, favorites, account-security state, reports, moderation records, and technical request information. MESOLANE does not ask for a postal address, phone number, payment-card details, or user-uploaded image files through its current features.
3. Information Received Through Discord
Supabase Auth's Discord provider requests the identify and email scopes by default. Supabase Auth may receive and retain the Discord account email in its protected authentication user or identity metadata to establish and manage the sign-in identity. MESOLANE's application profile table does not copy that email, and MESOLANE application code does not use it for marketplace features or display it publicly.
MESOLANE receives a Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar URL when available. It uses these public identity details to create the MESOLANE profile, identify listing owners, display trader information, and support direct contact. OAuth access tokens are handled through the authentication flow and are not displayed in marketplace pages.
Discord operates separately under its own Privacy Policy. Discord does not endorse MESOLANE.
4. Marketplace Information
Listings can include BUY or SELL side, item, meso price or offer, quantity and minimum quantity, item condition and stats, IGN, trade method, meeting or Store location details, notes, and creation, update, activity, completion, deletion, refresh, and expiry timestamps. This information is processed to publish, organize, search, manage, and moderate marketplace listings.
5. Favorites and Account Features
Signed-in favorites are associated with the user's profile in Supabase. Guest favorites, recent item searches, local item popularity, profile preferences, and legacy local marketplace backups can be stored in the browser. Listing-credit balances and ledger records are account-scoped and are used to operate listing limits.
6. Account Security and Human Verification
MESOLANE maintains private account-trust information such as human-verification time and source, server-derived Discord account creation time, and any temporary trading restriction. Cloudflare Turnstile may process a verification request to help reduce automated abuse. Cloudflare applies its own Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
7. Reports and Moderation
Signed-in users may submit a report reason and optional note. MESOLANE stores the reporter's internal profile reference and an immutable snapshot of the reported listing for moderation integrity. Report identities, private evidence, review state, and moderation audit records are not public marketplace data.
8. Technical and Log Information
Hosting, database, security, and network providers may automatically process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, device or browser information, timestamps, requested URLs, response status, and security signals. MESOLANE may use application and infrastructure logs to operate, diagnose, and secure the service.
9. How We Use Information
- Provide authentication, profiles, listings, favorites, Stores, contact tools, and Price Insight.
- Apply listing-credit, account-age, human-verification, rate, and abuse controls.
- Respond to reports, support requests, privacy requests, and intellectual-property concerns.
- Maintain reliability, diagnose errors, measure basic page use, and protect users and the service.
10. Public Information
Marketplace participation is public by design. Public pages can show a trader's Discord user ID in a profile URL or contact link, Discord username, display name, avatar, IGN, joined month and year, active and completed listings, listing content, Store and trade details, and listing timestamps. Do not place private or sensitive information in an IGN, listing note, Store detail, or other public field.
11. Private Information
MESOLANE does not publish OAuth credentials or tokens, authentication cookies, site-access credentials, account-trust records, listing-credit ledger details, favorite ownership, reporter identity, internal moderation evidence or audit records, or raw Price Insight segments containing owner and listing identifiers. Aggregate Price Insight results are public.
12. Service Providers
MESOLANE uses third-party providers to operate the service: Discord for authentication and contact links; Supabase for authentication and database services; Vercel for hosting; Cloudflare Turnstile for human verification; and Google Analytics for limited page-view measurement when production analytics is configured. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
13. External Links
Links to Discord and other websites leave MESOLANE. The optional Support MESOLANE link opens Buy Me a Coffee. Any payment is handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers; the current hyperlink integration does not send payment-card details to MESOLANE.
14. Cookies and Local Storage
Strictly necessary cookies support Supabase authentication and OAuth state, and the private-preview access gate when enabled. These cookies are used for session and security functions.
Browser local storage can retain guest favorites, recent searches, on-device popularity counts, profile IGN preferences, and legacy local listing, completed-trade, and credit backup data. You can clear this on your device through browser controls, although doing so can remove local preferences or backup information.
When basic Google Analytics is enabled on mesolane.gg, Google's tag may use analytics cookies or similar identifiers. MESOLANE sends sanitized page paths and excludes authentication, verification, admin, API, private-preview, and local fixture routes; public profile identifiers are replaced with a generic path. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in the current integration.
15. Advertising
MESOLANE does not currently integrate Google AdSense or another advertising platform. MESOLANE may display advertising in the future. If advertising services that use cookies or similar technologies are introduced, this Privacy Policy and any required consent controls will be updated before or when those technologies are enabled.
16. Data Retention
MESOLANE retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the service, resolve reports and disputes, preserve moderation integrity, and meet applicable operational or legal requirements. Exact retention periods are not currently defined for every category. Browser-local information remains until it is cleared, replaced, or removed by browser or application behavior.
17. Account Deletion and Requests
MESOLANE does not currently provide an instant self-service account-deletion workflow. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, email MESOLANE. Some records may need to be retained or de-identified for security, fraud prevention, moderation integrity, dispute handling, or legal and operational obligations. Requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed to be completed immediately.
18. Security
MESOLANE uses access controls, row-level database policies, private server configuration, signed sessions, human verification, request controls, and other technical measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users remain responsible for protecting their Discord account and must never share passwords or verification codes.
19. International Users
MESOLANE and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy protections and legal requirements can differ by location. Use MESOLANE only if you are legally permitted to do so where you live.
20. Children and Age
MESOLANE has not adopted a separate numerical minimum age. You must be legally permitted to use MESOLANE, Discord, MapleStory, and any other connected service under the rules that apply to you. If you believe a child has provided information contrary to applicable requirements, contact MESOLANE.
21. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as MESOLANE's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top will be revised when an updated version is published.
